Making Your Lip Colour Last & How To Prevent "Bleeding" of Your ...

I mentioned a while back about preventing your lip colour from “bleeding” and got a few requests on twitter for a demo on how this can be done. So I thought I’d put together a really simple video with simple steps that kills two birds with one stone – make your lip colour last and prevent bleeding of your lip colour. Well, they’re both one and the same actually – simple steps that helps to deal with both issues.

Step 1:

Apply some foundation onto your lips – I’ve used a wet/dry foundation and applied it dry.

Step 2:

Line your lips with a lip pencil. This will prevent the lipstick colour from “bleeding” out of your lip line.

Step 3:

Fill in your lips with the lip pencil. This will ensure that even when your lipstick colour starts to fade, there’s still some colour left on your lips and not just the line left by your lip pencil.

Step 4:

Apply your lipstick. You can use a lip brush but I’m a little lazy so I’ve just applied them straight onto my lips.

Step 5:

Blot with a piece of tissue paper and off you go. You might like to re-apply your lipstick and blot again if you wish.
