Oh how we love a red matte lip. Particularly when it’s paired with dewy skin—we just love the contrast in textures…so fresh, so HOT! Totally inspired by Rihanna and her crimson pout that’s been seen out and about the last few days, here’s 4 matte red lip colors to rock this week.

1. MAC Ruby Woo ($14.50 at MAC). This is the ultimate in matte red lips and though it’s quite bright, we find there is only a very small minority of people who can’t rock this retro matte. It can get very dry, so we suggest gently exfoliating your lips either with a wet toothbrush or a scrub like LUSH Lip Scrub ($8.95 at LUSHusa.com)and then applying a treatment like 3LAB’s Perfect Lips ($40 at SkinStore.com). Then use a lip pencil like MAC Cherry ($14) to perfect the shape of your lip.
