NYX / ELF Haul and Yes…Crawfish « Fleur De Curl
11 Mar

So I happened to ‘visit’ my local beauty supply store yesterday afternoon and found tons of NYX products.  I had to grab a lipstick, a couple of jumbo pencils and some eyelashes.  I also grabbed a skinny dark brown eye pencil and some ELF cosmetics/brushes.  I found this NYX lip pencil that doubles for a lipstick in Plush Red.  It was so awesome, I decided to create my own makeup look from it.  I used the two eye pencils in Gold and Electric Blue on my eyes.  I used the dark brown pencil to create eyebrows.  I used the false ELF lashes and red pencil in on my lips.

I first drew in my eyebrows using the dark brown pencil and creating a high arch.  I then colored in my lids with the gold pencil—concentrating on my brow line.  I made sure the gold was heavier around my brow line and light toward the line of my lid.  I then lined my eyes using the blue pencil concentrating with putting heavier product on around the tear ducts and the creases of my eyes.  I applied the false eyelashes and blended the gold heavily around the crease of my eyelid.  I then added more blue eyeliner on my top lash line to make sure the false lashes blended in with the blue liner.

For base/foundation, I used Mary Kay Medium Coverage Foundation in Bronze 808.  I blended over my whole face and used Black Radiance Artisan Color Baked Bronzer around my eyes, and T-Zone area to highlight my face.

I then lined my lip and filled with the NYX pencil in 712, Plush Red.  This lip pencil/stick thing is neat.  ROFL at the constant use of the word Neat…

After, I went out to dinner to have…

                                  ta da…

crawfish, boiled shrimp, corn and potatoes.  And guess what!?  The lipstick stayed on after all of that.  I must say, I heart NYX.
